PS3 Unreal Tournament 3 supporting keyboard, mouse

We'll also allow people to choose whether or not they want to allow mixed controller vs. keyboard/mouse games or not."
As revealed at Sony's press conference at the E3 Media & Business Summit, Unreal Tournament 3 is coming out this year for the PC and PS3 only. It will allow cross-platform play between the two platforms, which will be greatly enhanced by the inclusion of keyboard/mouse support. Said support will also offer gamers the alternative of buying a $599 console or upgrading their PC without having to sacrifice traditional shooter controls.
Rein also confirmed that nothing is confirmed about keyboard/mouse support for the Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament 3, which is due out next year. It marked the first time the campaign mode had been played by non-Bungie personnel.The Scarab conflict is part of The Storm, the fourth mission of the single-player campaign component of "Halo 3," scheduled for release for the Xbox 360 on Sept. 25.And it illustrates how the next-generation version of the "Halo" video game franchise has grown.The battle, just one portion of the mission, has more enemies and allies than the entire first mission of "Halo 1.""That just gives you an idea of the scale that we're going for. Eventually, you have to leave your vehicle and cross the wreckage of a twisted, destroyed highway and bridge.More danger is just around the corner. Covenant Brutes, elite hard-to-kill troops, are lying in cover. They launch into the air, coming down with guns ablazing.A Covenant Wraith tank fires away. Again there are multiple ways of taking it out. None come to me too quickly, although eventually I snuff out the danger.The Storm takes you through hostile ground in a factory complex before eventually meeting the Scarab. The Covenant seems to be around every corner."Halo 3" players will face off against a newly improved force of Brutes, who are tough, mean and hard to handle. Their hierarchy is shown via their dress - the fancier the getup, the higher up the ladder and more dangerous they are."Halo 3" is packed with detail. Audio lead Jay Weinland proudly notes that as of the morning of the journalists' visit, it included almost 54,000 pieces of audio: 1,000 pieces of music, 13,000 sound effects and 39,368 pieces of dialogue.Not all of those may make the cut. Also, another cool addition is, when an avatar is displayed during voice/video chat, the avatar will move in response to audio. Finally, on the more technical side, you can now play AVCHD videos saved on a Memory Stick or digital video camera, and we’ve added the ability to upscale audio CD output from your PS3. Now, there are two requirements for this feature: the device you’re outputting to must support a sampling frequency of 88.2 kHz or 176.4 kHz, and your PS3 must be connected to that device with an HDMI cable or digital optical cable. Oh, and one more thing: you can now eject discs using your controller by selecting “Eject Disc” in the options menu after you push the PS button. Several other minor options will be included in 1.90 including a few new display options that will allow you to adjust your display while playing PlayStation, PlayStation2 and Blu-ray movies. More info on these options as well as detailed info on the rest of the 1.90 additions will be available later this week. We’ll update this post with a link to that info when it’s available. Online Metal Gear Solid for PS3
